argh, decisions, decisions!!!! welllll weeeee NEED more storage so I voted for that, but the perfect weapon would be great too.......though my 2nd bday isnt until august so I have a while to wait, but lots of my toons are coming up on first bdays....so more minis for sale!

I voted on the bigger storage, I think everyone would benefit from that, but I dont think it should be restricted to just older players. Everything else just seems like a 'waste of time,' for lack of a better phrase.
All these nifty little minipets ruin a portion of this game by taking away some of the magic, but this is a small price to pay for the enjoyment of this game, (not to mention 'free')
This is all in my opinion of course, and I dont mean to sound like a bad guy here, but I really hope they stop with the mini pets, and ignore the diguises, special aura, and wings idea, for the sake of mine, and perhaps other people's enjoyment.

I always wondered how a lvl 6 mob in old ascalon had a power aura while I, a lvl 20 ele which just by snapping my fingers can easily destroy him and all his lackeys around him don't.

I had proposed this to be available only to lvl 20, PvE chars. I would like to add that there should be no auras in PvP (lag).

Storage would always be my second option as currently I have loads of "junk golds" in my inventories.

I seem to remember Gaile saying last year that the second borthday present would be something completely different, so I really do hope that they don't cop out and give us minipets again.
As to what that should be, my expectations are probably unrealistic:
A special town or area for 2 year old characters.
Unique customised armour (maybe with mods that can be customised at will while in town?).
Unique customised weapons (again, being able to select mods at will would be kickass).
In-town skills, things that can be used whenever you're in town and provide effects much like the tonics from events.

That was one vry tough choice... but in the end, I went with an aura/visual that can be turned off. That being mainly because I was going to get Prophecies collector's until I found out DA couldn't be turned off.

The title, or some kind of special birthday hat would be cool, just so you have something to show that you've been playing for that amount of time. The pets are cool and all, but they're traded around so much they don't really mean anything.

I'd also really like the ability to name weapons, after using "Shak-Jarins sword" and "Shiro's sword", etc for most of the game, it's pretty neat when you finally manage to make your own perfect weapon, being able to name it would be a great finishing touch, but I fully understand why they haven't added that in. Maybe it would work if it just took your characters name infront of the weapon name though?

My 2nd birthday pressie well gosh I mean not socks obviously but it should be a surprise.
So really any of the above but minipet at the bottom of my list.

However if it could be done I would like my characters face to age, I mean just look at us everyone is pretty good looking its like all the boy/girl bands got together for a convention.
Doubt it would be possible though probably too complicated to work in practice.

as things are, i bet that it will be another mini pet series, prolly for the third birthday it might be something diferent, but not this one. unless they give a mini pet + something else, but i doubt it.

I guess I'd like a class based aura. Like monster bosses. Yellow for warriors, green for necs, blue for monks etc. After all, surely by now we'd have more power than all the bosses we killed. Make it that you have to be ascended to get it though (or finished x missions), so that you can't just make a mule and stick it in the monastery/kamadan for two years. That way you'd at least have played it some.

But otherwise, I don't really care what we get. It's free after all.

The title option is really cool, But I love mini-pets, and I also like the idea of the hair/face change tokens, But I would love to see that as a feature for everyone.

I really like that title idea though, that is an awesome idea

Here's my take on the other options
1) No minipets simply because its already been done. At least make them customized
2) Mini me could be bearable but still useless
3) Special Aura I like it and may have voted for it if it weren't for the 3 people with the CE who would whine about it.
5) They should just make any weapon you customize able to be custom named by you
6) Special suit of armor simply wont happen and wouldn't be very exciting if it were the same cookie-cutter stats as the other armor
7) Neon Dyes sound more like a minigame prize than "I've played for 2 years" prize (if wintersday can bring you what it does, 2nd birthday should be greater than dye)
8) A new emote could be cool, but it would have to be farely distinctive. more like a rank type emote than a dance or sit emote
9) A title is a good Idea, but without the ability to max it, Devs would be reluctant to call it a title or even use that idea.
10) The token would be great. Nothing wrong with it except I didn't bother voting for it because it's too hard to implement especially in such a short amount of time and the idea of the gift might lose its focus with all the options.
11) Any storage upgrade needs to be global. That would be such a ridiculously valuable present. If they gave it to us in present form then you can bet theyd never expand the stash again.

I like these threads because we get to see some interesting and somewhat outrageous extras we'd like to have in the game. I'd just like to see them use any of one our suggestions....except minipets.

I voted for a Special Aura.

I also think that any gift they give us should be customized to that character only....just like the festival hats. I don't think that people should be able to sell the gift that Anet takes the time to give us just to make some quick cash. Its supposed to be special so if you don't want it throw it away, not sell it.

basically:

1) festival hats are no good, they can be given to ALL the toons you own
2) Same with storage, it affects ALL the toons you own
3) the title could never be maxed, as archangel mentioned
4) wings are kinda the paragon thing... <_<... why would they just give it out to a random class?
5) Hair or cosmetics should be a universal thing... that would be weird if they only gave it to 2 year old chars...

so IMHO its either the aura or the minipet... and anet seems to enjoy minipets so... as much as i hate to say it...
